El 8 de septiembre se conmemora el D\u00eda Internacional del Periodista en homenaje al periodista checo Julius Fucik. El D\u00eda del Periodista fue establecido en 1938 por el Primer Congreso Nacional de Periodistas celebrado en C\u00f3rdoba, en recuerdo del primer medio de prensa con ideas patri\u00f3ticas. El 7 de junio de 1810 Mariano Moreno fund\u00f3 la \u00abGazeta de Buenos Aires\u00bb, primer peri\u00f3dico de la etapa independentista argentina. La Primera Junta indic\u00f3 por decreto su fundaci\u00f3n por ser necesario anunciar al p\u00fablico los actos oficiales y las noticias exteriores y locales.
